Where to Receive Reiki near Lecce, Maglie and Otranto: the Masseria
You look for Reiki in Salento and you find little. A few studios in Lecce. A few names scattered around the villages, more on Facebook than on Google. In the Grecìa Salentina, the villages between Lecce and Otranto where Griko is still spoken, almost nothing.
At Masseria Montanari in Carpignano Salentino something is changing. Here I tell you what you will find, how it works, how to get here.
A place made for silence
Reiki asks for little. A couch, a quiet room, an hour without interruptions. But the room changes the hour.
At the masseria you lie down in the vaulted hall in Lecce stone: 55 m² under a 1700s vault, air-conditioned, with the intimate acoustics that only stone can give. Outside, the garden, the olive trees, the countryside. Inside, no other group, no waiting room, no phone ringing behind a door.
It is the same space that hosts yoga and holistic retreats from all over Italy. For Reiki it has the right measure: big enough to breathe, intimate enough to feel sheltered.
Who accompanies you
The sessions are held by Valentina, fourth-level Reiki Master and astrology consultant, who works with Masseria Montanari. The fourth level is the highest degree in traditional training and comes after years of practice. It is also the reason she can offer a format few provide: the integrated energy consultation, where the reading of the natal chart shows where to look and Reiki works where it is needed.
Everything takes place under Italian Law 4/2013. No diagnosis, no promises. Reiki is not a therapy and does not replace medical or psychological care: if you have a health condition, your doctor remains your reference.
How you can receive it
A single session, about 60 minutes in the vaulted hall. For those who want to try, or for those passing through Salento looking for an hour of real quiet.
A cycle of three sessions, one or two weeks apart. It is the rhythm most practitioners recommend to those who want to give themselves continuity.
The integrated energy consultation, about two hours with Reiki and natal chart together, in person only.
During guest retreats: if you organise a retreat at the masseria, you can offer participants one-to-one sessions in the breaks of the programme, with a facilitator already on site.
Prices come with the first dates, first of all to those on the list. To give you an idea: in Italy a Reiki session generally costs between 40 and 80 euros, and we stay in that range.
How far the masseria is
Carpignano Salentino is in the heart of the province. From the nearby villages you arrive in a few minutes by car.

There is parking in the courtyard. If you come by train, get off at Lecce or Maglie and take a taxi.
A session can become a weekend
This is what no studio in town can give you: you can stay the night. The masseria has six independent lodgings, 16 sleeping places in all. If you are coming from Bari, from Naples or from abroad, you can build a whole weekend around a session. Reiki in the afternoon. Dinner in the village. A slow morning in the garden.

Do I need experience? No. You can arrive without ever having received Reiki. You do not have to know how it is done already.
Can I come on my own? Yes. Sessions are one-to-one, in the vaulted hall, with no other groups around.
