Team Building near Lecce: an Evening, a Half Day or a Full Day at a Masseria
Anyone organising a team building near Lecce usually finds two routes: the agency that sells an activity (the treasure hunt in the old town, the cooking class, the regatta) and the hotel meeting room where a meeting comes first. The third route is almost always missing: a place entirely your own, out of town but close, where the activity, the table and the evening all happen in the same spot. 25 minutes from Lecce, in Carpignano Salentino, Masseria Montanari is that place: a 1700s masseria given over in exclusive use to one group at a time. This guide explains how it works, what changes compared with an agency or a hotel, and how much it costs.
Why out of town, and why so close
Team building works when the group changes its setting. In the city the setting stays the same: you leave the office and walk into another room. In the countryside everything changes, but if the countryside is two hours away the journey eats the day. Carpignano is 25 minutes from Lecce, 20 from Maglie and Otranto, 60 from Brindisi airport: you set off after coffee and arrive before ten. And you go home in the evening, or you stay the night, because the sleeping places are there.
Exclusive use: you would be the only group
It is the difference no hotel and no restaurant can offer. At the masseria there are no other guests, no other tables, no other events in the room next door: the vaulted hall in Lecce stone, the garden with its olive trees, the courtyard and the kitchens are yours for the whole day, with no closing time. For a group that needs to talk about its own business, or simply to unwind, that matters more than any activity.
The three formats
We do not offer a catalogue of games: we start from three levels of intensity and build the rest around the group. Prices are indicative, per person, with meals included.
The Evening, from 95 €. A meat dinner with a barbecue or a pignata (the traditional Salento terracotta pot, slow-cooked by the embers) prepared over the fire, which becomes part of the atmosphere, and a convivial activity: the most requested format is the murder mystery dinner, with a script written to measure and set in the masseria. You arrive in the late afternoon and leave late at night.
The Half day, from 135 €. A block of team activities combining communication, trust, collaboration, problem solving and creativity, closed by a sit-down lunch or dinner. The right format for anyone who wants to work on the group without giving up half a day in the office.
The Full Experience, from 180 €. A whole day built around a guiding thread, in which the activities connect to one another rather than simply following in sequence: communication and coordination in the morning, trust and a creative workshop in the afternoon, a guided wellbeing moment at sunset, then dinner. Those who wish stay the night.
The guiding thread
What people remember is not the single activity, it is the meaning that ties them together. That is why every experience starts from two questions: what does your company do, and what do you want from the day (to enjoy yourselves and spend time together, to strengthen collaboration, or both). From there we choose the activities and link them with a theme that speaks about you: for an energy company, energy; for a studio, the project; for a sales team, trust. What the price includes, and what it does not
It includes the spaces in exclusive use, the activities, the facilitation and the meals listed in the format. It does not include overnight accommodation, which is added separately in the masseria's six lodgings (up to 16 sleeping places: those organising a Full Experience on a Friday often add it for part of the group), nor the transfer, which we arrange on request from the office or the airport. For groups that prefer to manage everything themselves, the option of renting the spaces alone remains.
How many people and how much notice
The formats work best for 8 to 35 people: the hall holds 35 seated and 50 standing, the garden up to 200 for an aperitivo. For an Evening two weeks' notice is enough; for a Full Experience with a made-to-measure script you need three or four weeks. Spring and autumn are the periods companies request most, and they are also the loveliest here.
How to ask for a proposal
On the Companies page there is a form with the same four questions we would ask you on the phone: format, timings and meals, objective, average age of the group. With those answers we prepare a precise proposal, usually within a day; those who prefer leave a time and we call them for fifteen minutes.
