Reception hall in Carpignano Salentino: the alternative with free choice of catering
If you are looking for a reception hall in Carpignano Salentino, you will usually find just one model: the full-service venue, where hall, kitchen and service come as a single package with a per-person price. For big formal weddings it is the right path, and around here some do it very well. But for every other kind of party there is a second, less known model: the simple rental of the spaces. This page explains how it works and who it is for.
The two models, made clear
Full-service: you pay a per-cover price that includes hall, menu and service. Zero worries, but also zero control over the cost: the bill grows with the number of guests, and the menu is the one agreed in advance.
Renting the spaces (our formula): at Masseria Montanari, an eighteenth-century farmhouse in Carpignano, you rent the vaulted hall in Lecce stone, 55 m², up to 35 seated, 50 standing, together with the garden. The rest is up to you:
- free choice of catering: bring your trusted caterer, rotisserie or restaurant, with no restrictions and no percentages;
- a kitchen at your disposal: one of the lodgings has a kitchen for preparing, warming and serving, homemade trays included;
- or, on request, we organise the food ourselves with local products.
The economic difference is structural: you pay for the space once, and you decide the food. With 25 to 35 guests, it changes the order of magnitude of the cost.
Who it is for (and who it is not for)
We are honest because it works out better for everyone: our hall holds up to 35 seated guests. If your reception counts 150, we are not the right venue; in and around Carpignano you will find halls dedicated to large numbers. But if your party is on the scale of family and friends, birthdays, christenings, first communions and confirmations, graduation parties, anniversaries, the rental formula is made for you.
